Corpus is an artistic photograph that explores the human body as a form that is physical, mysterious, and ephemeral all at once.
In a dark and almost dreamlike atmosphere, a female silhouette emerges from the darkness, revealed by a warm light with amber hues. The intentional blur, pronounced grain, and subtle contrasts between light and shadow transform the body into an almost unreal presence.
The face eludes the gaze, making way for a more instinctive perception of the silhouette, movement, and matter. The image oscillates between appearance and disappearance, between presence and absence.
With Corpus, Cédric Brion offers an intimate and contemplative vision of the body, far from the traditional portrait. The photograph invites the viewer to feel the image rather than simply look at it.
